With over 20 years in Early Childhood Education and Care, I as a teenage babysitter and progressed to a director. I believe our work is vital, and now at Oklahoma City Community College, I support students in the CD/ECE field employed in licensed childcare. My passion lies in helping them become intentional lead teachers and directors, knowing that my influence extends to the children in their care.

Dr. Susan Tabor – has worked in a variety of settings including public schools, childcare, early childhood professional development, and higher education as professor and administrator. She retired in 2019 as Dean of Social Sciences from Oklahoma City Community College and continues to teach on an adjunct basis. She has held a variety of board positions with Oklahoma Association for the Education of Young Children over the years, including president in 2006. She is currently serving as Treasurer.

Dr. Stephanie Hinton serves as the Executive Director of Early Childhood for Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS). With over 15 years of experience in education, both as a teacher and administrator, Dr. Hinton has dedicated the last 7 years to leading early childhood initiatives within the district. Her role is pivotal in shaping the early learning experiences of young children in OKCPS, aligning with the district’s mission of providing equitable access to a world-class education. Dr. Hinton is responsible for the comprehensive design, implementation, and monitoring of early childhood programs across the district. She utilizes her deep knowledge of child development to ensure that early childhood education is developmentally appropriate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive, fostering environments that support each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

Jana has more than 35 years of experience in the early childhood field, working in public school, NAEYC accredited early childhood organizations, and state agencies. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, B.S. in Elementary Special Education with a concentration on Mild and Moderate Disabilities and Speech Impairments, and an M.Ed. in Education Administration.

Over 25 years ago, I started my in Early Childhood Education in a Montessori classroom. Since then, I have completed my AS in Early Child Development and a BA in leadership with a minor in Early Education. My experience in ECE includes working with Head Start, operating a licensed large family childcare, and serving as an Infant Toddler Specialist for the NW Region of Oklahoma. Currently, I am the Child Development/Education Specialist for Oklahoma City Head Start Program, where I believe setting a strong foundation for a child's future self through early development

I’m very passionate about earlier childhood Education, I was an active member for NAEYC Maine. I want to be able to support communities , especially bring my expertise to support families and advocate on their behalf. I believe Education starts at birth as a parent is our mission to guide them .

Sarah has many years of experience in education. She began her education career teaching middle school science and soon found herself joining the school's administration as Dean of Students. During her time as an educator, she discovered AdvancEd (now Cognia) and began accrediting schools all over Oklahoma, New York and Michigan. Sarah discovered Primrose Schools during her time accrediting, and has found the Early Childhood Education arena to be incredibly rewarding. Sarah has a passion for training, coaching and mentoring teachers and staff, so they can better support the children and families in their communities. Sarah is known for her leadership, energy, ethical standards and hardworking nature. She loves working with her team as they strive to make a difference in the communities they serve.

 I have dedicated for over 30 years to early childhood education. My path spans roles as a teacher, principal, and college professor, advocating for quality early childhood experiences. The foundation for lifelong learning is set in those precious early years. Quality education isn't solely a gift to kids but to society. It's transformative, fostering potential, curiosity, and a love for learning. We must champion caregivers, teachers, and students as we invest in an equitable future. Let's build a brighter world for generations through early childhood education's power to shape minds and lives.

With over twenty years of experience in early childhood education, I have had the pleasure of teaching children from three years old through first grade. I cherished every moment of this journey. Currently, I serve as the Early Childhood Coordinator for Oklahoma City Public Schools, where I support and mentor teachers in pre-kindergarten through second grade. I am dedicated to helping educators refine their skills and ignite their passion to ensure that every child receives the high-quality education they deserve. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education, certification in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Bailey Maxey has spent the better part of the last ten years serving children and their families across Oklahoma in a variety of roles. During graduate school at the University of Central Oklahoma, she conducted original research on access to childcare in Oklahoma, as well as outdoor play spaces - speaking at international and national conferences about her work. Her career has largely centered on creating high quality, equitable early learning environments for Oklahoma’s children; however, she now serves as the Program Director for Calm Waters, Oklahoma City’s grief center. Her and her husband, Adam, reside in Oklahoma City and enjoy taking in all that Oklahoma has to offer with their rescue mutt, Indie.

I love working with children and families. I have been in this field for over 15 years. I have a masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a public school teacher for four years and taught self contained special education pre-k, pre-k and kindergarten. I am currently a Child Development Specialist II with Child Guidance. I would love help grow our field by sharing my love for our work and professional experience.MSEd Early Childhood Education - Jackson State University BS Family Studies and Gerontology - Southern Nazarene University. I have a professional background in government.

Andrew has over a decade of experience in early care and education, as well as IT and facilities management. Currently, he is the Senior Director of IT and Facilities at Sunbeam Family Services in Oklahoma City, where he streamlines operations and enhances service delivery. Previously, he worked with the State of Oklahoma and in child development, gaining expertise in systems integration and policy. Andrew holds a degree in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Central Oklahoma and has served on various committees and boards in the nonprofit sector. His commitment to continuous improvement and community impact is evident in his work.
