✔ Step 1: Start a Focus Group

Choose a focus topic.

Gather a Leadership Team: Choose a representative to serve as the liason to OKAEYC.

All members must have SECA and/or NAEYC membership. All Leaders must have SECA and NAEYC membership.

Set up meeting dates and location(can be virtual). Invite group members to attend.

Discuss your local needs and interests.

Draft clear goals that align with the mission and purpose of OKAEYC.

Outline your goals, strategies, and activities for the upcoming calendar year.

Use the Plan of Action Template to stay organized.
✔ Step 3: Share with OKAEYC

Meet with the VP of Chapters to:

Share your proposed goals and plan

Discuss roles and responsibilities

Prepare to sign the Chapter Agreement

Finalize the partnership between your group and OKAEYC.

Confirm your Chapter Committee and Representative before signing.
